Track Management to Auction VortexDNA Prediction Technology to Auto Insurance Industry

Pittsburgh, PA February 28, 2008. The auto insurance industry has the potential for more accurate predictions about customer behavior -- including claims likelihoods -- thanks to a novel technology being auctioned by Track Management.

"This technology will allow auto insurance carriers to more accurately predict customer behavior and optimize the distribution of premiums. The value to both carriers and consumers is immense," said Paul Martyn, Partner at Track Management.

Developed by New Zealand-based VortexDNA, the technology maps and codifies human characteristics, thereby adding a new dimension to and dramatically improving the accuracy of prediction science.

"We can provide businesses with a better way to forecast customer behavior," said Branton Kenton-Dau, a VortexDNA director.

The technology's predictive characteristics have already been proven effective for online search. An independently validated study showed that Web users were 14% more likely to click on a Google search result with a high VortexDNA relevance score than on one with a low score.

"The breakthrough is the insight that human intent -- and therefore behavior -- follows mathematical laws," says Kenton-Dau. "We can quantify and calculate this information to make accurate predictions."

The off-line auction will result in an award of one or more use-licenses for the auto insurance industry, based on auction rules and bidding performance. "We expect a dozen or more major providers to participate and aim to establish a standard for this style of technology acquisition," said Martyn.
