
VortexDNA Meets International Market Demand with New Staff, China Office
Christchurch, NZ October 19, 2009. VortexDNA, provider of unique predictive data, has responded to global opportunities in the insurance, banking and telecommunication industries by appointing three new staff and opening a China office.
Ali Wilkinson has been appointed as Marketing Director to address emerging business in the insurance industry for VortexDNA's predicative models. She has a unique understanding of the insurance industry's issues and drivers, and how VortexDNA's predictive data can integrate with the business models of insurance companies for maximum benefit.
Prior to joining VortexDNA, Ali spent thirteen years in the general insurance industry. She worked in the UK, France and South-East Asia for global giant AXA and in New Zealand and Russia for national market leaders. In addition to insurance qualifications, she achieved a BA (Hons) in international finance, European business and languages.
Responsible for VortexDNA predictive modeling
Dr Olav Jordens joins as Head of Analytics. Most recently, Olav was the Manager of Credit Risk Models for Nedbank Capital, South Africa's 4th largest bank.
Olav gained his Doctor of Philosophy in the congruence lattices of mathematical models and holds both a BA (Hons) and a BA (Cum Laude) in mathematics. He also developed and delivered courses for a South African University programme in the mathematics of finance and actuarial science. His recent focus has been the implementation of the Basel II Accord in the banking sector.
Given the interest and speed of engagement in China and the eagerness of companies to work with VortexDNA, a local representative has been appointed and an office opened. Xiaomei Liu will operate out of VortexDNA's newest office in Chengdu, China. As Representative, South West, China, Xiaomei will be responsible for the development of VortexDNA in the region.
Xiaomei is the co-founder of IDF Global, a Chinese 3d visualisation and model making company which now has more than 300 staff and has 25 offices worldwide. Her academic achievements include a BA majoring in English literature and a Diploma of Commerce majoring in Trade.
