Revolutionary Predictive Modeling
The Science
VortexDNA was born out of a seven-year study, encompassing every company in the S&P; 500, that showed that companies that align themselves around a strong core purpose and values consistently outperform those that don't. This idea was initially advanced in the book Built to Last, by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras, as a way of explaining the performance of a handful of visionary companies, and the VortexDNA study dramatically expanded the dataset to show a sustainable pattern.
That work led to the understanding that there is a core to who we are—what we believe and the values we live by—that has a direct connection to how we live our lives. Further investigation showed the concept to be directly supported by the latest scientific advances in genetics.
The Human Genome Project, for example, found less than 20% of the genes required for physical DNA to determine human characteristics, and the science of epigenetics has been advancing to explain the gap. Environmental factors such as nutrition, stress and mental state (including beliefs) are the true determinants of who we are.
VortexDNA has mapped the genome of human intention—the mind?DNA that predicts human characteristics. Advancing our understanding of how belief creates our world, the human intention genome opens up a new era of science and human empowerment.
Our ability to map human consciousness can empower people to create the lives they want and enable organizations to provide more relevant products and services to their customers.
Coded as a seven digit number, the intention genome reveals the true determinants of our lives - the pattern of our beliefs. These patterns from which we create order and meaning share the same helix/vortex structure as our physical DNA. By comparing different patterns, VortexDNA is able to accurately measure and predict relevance. And, because you can change the pattern at any time simply by changing your beliefs about yourself and the world you live in, VortexDNA literally gives you the power to create the life you want.

How not to use social media: a lesson from BT
Holy moley. From the Daily Online Examiner:
In a comically inept move, U.K. Internet service provider BT Group has decided to delete posts on its forums about its deployment of Phorms controversial behavioral targeting platform.
The ISP removed all current and prior comments, which dated back to at least February. One of the prior threads in the [...]

Online in the UK, beware the black box
Last week, several reputable sources including The Telegraph and The Independent reported on a government plan to capture every email and web visit in the UK.
The data would be captured in 'black boxes', which would be installed upstream from ISPs and paid for by the government, thereby removing a major obstacle to implementation.
Nonetheless, the plan, [...]
